Somebody’s feeling confident over at the DCCC: hot on the heels of yesterday’s addition of NY-26 surprise primary winner Alice Kryzan to their Red to Blue program (the DCCC’s fundraising stamp of approval), they’ve promoted eight more candidates today.
FL-08 Alan Grayson
FL-18 Annette Taddeo
KY-02 David Boswell
NC-10 Dan Johnson
NE-02 Jim Esch
OH-07 Sharen Neuhardt
PA-15 Sam Bennett
TX-07 Michael Skelly
Of these candidates, Taddeo, Boswell, Johnson, Bennett, and Skelly all got promoted from the DCCC’s Emerging Races list. Grayson is the winner of the recent FL-08 primary, and Esch and Neuhardt have leapfrogged their way onto the list.
UPDATE (James): The DCCC has also added a few more candidates to its list of “Emerging Races”:
IA-04: Becky Greenwald
IL-13: Scott Harper
LA-01: Jim Harlan
SC-01: Linda Ketner
TX-10: Larry Joe Doherty
AL 3 is 33% black, 3rd highest black population in the country. Segall’s on the air (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8E-dlxz3lWQ) and has outraised a few of the new admittees. Plus he’s a more exciting candidate. 29 years old, is an exciting speaker on how to fix the economy and to invest in infrastructure like we did during the new deal. check him out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…
talk about an odd list.
Grayson, Taddeo and Boswell are all long overdue. Skelly and Bennett are running solid campaigns and so is Johnson.
Esch has dissed the DCCC Red to Blue list as just a bunch of “east cost elites”
I’ve never heard of Neuhardt. Anyone have a clue of who she is?
And over Mike Montagano, Josh Sengall and Dennis Shulman?
Very odd list.
I’d like to see the DCCC expand it’s ad buy to more of these people though.
Becky Greenwald and Scott Harper?
Maybe I don’t know on-the-ground info, but this is going to be interesting. adds to his list
